Import audiobooks from a folder on iPhone automatically

Let the app watch a folder such as Downloads and bring every new m4b file into your library by itself.

Some audiobooks arrive somewhere else first: downloaded in Safari, saved from an email, or dropped into a folder you share. VerbaViva can watch that folder and bring new m4b files into your library each time you open the app.

To watch a folder:

  1. In your library, choose Settings… in the menu at the top.
  2. Under Library, tap Watched Folders.
  3. Tap Add Folder…, open the folder where your new books arrive, such as Downloads, and tap Open.

From then on, whenever you come back to VerbaViva, new books from that folder are already in your library. The app copies them in; books already in your library are skipped, and a book you delete does not come back.

Each folder has two switches, both off at first:

  • Look in Subfolders brings in books from the folders inside it, one level down. Each of those folders becomes a folder in your library.
  • Move into Library removes a book from the watched folder once it is safely copied, so it does not take up space twice.

To stop watching a folder, swipe it to the left and choose Remove. The folder and the books already in your library stay where they are.

Your books, your place, your iCloud.

VerbaViva is a small, private way to listen to the audiobooks you already have.
